It started as a friendship in dental school that transformed into a business 9 years later. A group of dentists coming together to provide a well-rounded practice that’s aiming to help its local community. Each of our dentists proudly calls Houston their home and is excited to serve you and your family. From general care like cleanings and dental fillings to major treatments like extractions and dental implants, we’re ready and eager to help you put your best smile forward!
DR. DIANE BANKS
Dr. Banks is a lifelong Texan, and central to her practice of dentistry is the principle of providing patients with the highest quality service in a conservative manner. She strongly believes in working together with patients to create comprehensive treatment plans that best fit their dental needs and long-term goals. Ultimately, she wants to give them the thoughtful type of care that she would offer to her own family members!
As for her education, Dr. Banks graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After working in private practice for some time and listening to the needs of her patients, she was inspired to pursue advanced dentistry, leading to her acceptance in a nationally recognized post-doctorate program. She completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency from the University of Texas Health Science Center. This program focused on a wide variety of advanced dental techniques, including implant dentistry, IV sedation, the removal of wisdom teeth, and care for patients with medical conditions.
Today, Dr. Banks has invested hundreds of hours into continuing education, and she regularly volunteers her services to those in need of high-quality treatment both locally and abroad. She is an active member of the following organizations:

- Texas Dental Association
- Greater Houston Dental Society
On her days away from the office, Dr. Banks enjoys exploring Houston with her husband, twin girls, and their rescue dog Leo. She is a lifelong ballet dancer, which instilled in her both an appetite for perfection and an affinity for details. She enjoys practicing ballet to this day and still takes classes at Houston Ballet!
DR. MUSTAFA SHINTA
Dr. Mustafa Shinta is a spirited Texan living the American dream. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the #1 nationally-ranked University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association (TDA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). It’s easy to see that he takes his passion for dental care and his patients’ smiles to heart.
Dr. Shinta is fully committed to his patients’ smiles, and that means keeping his mind and skills sharp! It is his firm belief that to be the best in the dental industry, you have to take a lifelong approach to learning and education. Each year, he takes many advanced courses to enhance his skills and stay at the top of the dentistry field. This enables him to serve his patients’ unique dental care needs quickly and expertly, providing them with a gentle and comfortable experience every time. No matter his patients’ concerns—emergency, restorative, or cosmetic—Dr. Shinta ensures their trust is always in the best hands possible.
While he’s lived in about every major city in Texas, Dr. Shinta is proud to call Houston his home. He’s a diehard Houston Rockets fan and is always trying to stay active in the Houston community. DR. HIEU NGUYEN
Dr. Hieu Nguyen is a proud Houston native who loves helping his patients here in Cypress. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. With the burgeoning development of the city and all of his family residing in Houston, he felt it was only natural to return home and give back to his hometown community.
To Dr. Hieu Nguyen, dentistry is not just drilling and filling, but the perfect blend of art and science. Although he loves many facets of dentistry, Dr. Nguyen most enjoys getting to know his patients. To him, the heart of patient care is taking a personalized approach because each patient and their smile is special. Whether a patient’s concern is cosmetic, restorative, or a dental emergency, Dr. Nguyen creates a genuine connection with his patients and provides them with the excellent, individualized care they need.
Dr. Nguyen also attends seminars annually to learn about the latest technologies, procedures, and materials in the evolving dentistry field. This helps him provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages with an ease borne of hard-earned experience. Dr. Nguyen is a family man who loves spending time with his wife (who you may recognize) and two children. He couldn’t be happier than when they’re all together, whether that means watching movies together or spending time outdoors playing sports. Like his wife, he is a big sports fan, and his love for his hometown means that he’s always rooting for the Houston teams. Luckily, this is something that they both enjoy doing together. Dr. Nguyen also loves to cook, and he makes a habit of meeting his family’s adventurous and high foodie standards.
DR. NOUR AMIN
Dr. Nour Amin is a compassionate and focused doctor that can brighten anyone’s day. Providing quality dental care in a comfortable setting is something she takes very seriously. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Amin earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UT School of Dentistry in Houston, graduating at the top of her class.
She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Texas Dental Association (TDA), and the Greater Houston Dental Society (GHDS). She is an active member of her local dental community and takes many advanced courses annually to continue providing her patients with the best dental care available. Dr. Amin’s goal is to help every patient understand the significance of their oral health on the rest of their body. She has lived all around the world and realized a common trait among all people, young and old, is eating and smiling! This is what ignited her passion for dentistry, and she continues to let that passion shine through in her patients’ lovely, healthy smiles to this day.
In her free time, she enjoys doing anything outdoors, reading, and is passionate about animals. Dr. Amin considers herself fortunate to be married to another dentist, whom many consider the male version of her. Here’s a little clue about him: he works here at Dentist Tree of the Heights.
DR. CHASE NESLONEY
Dr. Nesloney graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. He continued his dental education at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, graduating with honors in 2014.
He completed his post-doctorate residency program at UTHSCSA where he focused on advanced dental techniques including: removal of wisdom teeth, implant dentistry, IV sedation (sleep dentistry), and complex patient management. Dr. Nesloney is committed to comprehensive patient care through advanced dental techniques
DR. KATY PORAMAPORNPILAS
As a Houston native, Dr. Katy Poramapornpilas always dreamed of opening a private dental practice in her hometown. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, she attended The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Katy contributed and practiced at offices in her home community near where she grew up. She has devoted her professional career to all aspects of general dentistry. To stay current with the latest developments in dentistry, she has always exceeded the continuing education requirements of Texas.
By providing exceptional dental services to patients of all ages at Dentist Tree of the Heights, Dr. Katy is dedicated to helping her community grow bright and healthy smiles. With her kind, friendly, compassionate personality and fun signature tooth earrings, Dr. Katy will be sure to make you smile!
